If you are taking an Uber out of the Universal Orlando parks, you’re now going to have a $4 up charge. The fee went into effect last month and is part of a deal between Uber and Universal.

The extra $4 is only going to be charged for pick-ups, but not for drop-offs. Hotel pick-ups are not going to be charged with the extra fee.

Money from the up charge will go toward new signage and for extra team members to be on hand during peak times to help direct traffic. Uber will build a waiting area in the parking garage for riders.

So far Lyft has not been asked to implement fees.
