Two WDW Passholders File Lawsuit For Billing Error

Two Walt Disney World Passholders have filed a lawsuit after they were incorrectly charged for their passes. You’ve probably heard about Passholders being charged for the months WDW was closed. Disney issued a statement saying they were correcting the issue the same day it happened.

“Passholders on the monthly payment program were incorrectly charged today. We are in the process of reversing these charges and apologize for the inconvenience this caused.”

The lawsuit filed by Miami-Dade county residents Sarah Heinman and Liza Bertran in Orange County Circuit Court claims that Disney breached contract. The suit is seeking class action status. Ms. Heinman was charged $905 and Ms. Bertran was charged $520.

We hear a LOT of stories about people suing the theme parks. They are usually looking for cash payouts. I disagree with many of them, including this one, when the park takes pretty immediate action to correct an error.

I was personally affected, as were many of my friends, and I had not a single thought about suing. All I expect is for Disney to make the correction, which they have.
