SeaWorld Orlando’s Craft Beer Festival

Let me tell you that SeaWorld puts on some of the best festivals involving food. I’m not a drinker, so I can’t speak for the beer. Every festival with food that I’ve been to offers a large portion for a very reasonable price. And I have not ever been disappointed with flavor. Everything has been savory and delicious!

The Craft Beer Festival has been no exception. This year SeaWorld was very generous to their annual passholders and gave us three samples on the house. I went with a friend and we definitely enjoyed our picks.

Our first picks were the Sam Adams Cream Stout Braised Short Ribs and the Sam Adams New England IPA Drunken Shrimp Taco. I had the short ribs which were served with smoked cheddar and onion mashed potatoes. Of the three samples I had, this was definitely my favorite. I could have eaten 10 more! I did have a small bite of the shrimp taco and it was very good.

For our second sample, we both got Mojo Roasted Heritage Pork Waffle Potato Nachos topped with avocado crema and cotija cheese. They were absolutely delicious and I’d have them again. So much topping these that you can barely see the waffle fries.

For our third, and final samples of the night, we went with dessert selections. I had the Rainbow Cheesecake Cone and my friend had the Peach Cobbler Cheesecake Cone. While they were good, they were very sweet. It ended up being too sweet for me to finish and I found myself wishing I had opted for a second short rib instead. They were both soft and easy to eat.

Both of the cheesecake cones had whipped cream topping them. It’s so hot outside that I took a step away from the booth and it fell straight onto my shoe. I was sitting across from the booth and watched it happen to another guest, but it missed her shoe. Lucky for her.
