With Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Candlelight Processional being cancelled this year, it’s good news to hear that the Walt Disney World Resort will still be celebrating the holidays. The festivities will kick off on November 6 and run through December 30, 2020. I’m not going to lie, missing out on Epcot on New Year’s Eve has really got me bummed. Talk about a celebration!
Santa Claus will be making pop-up appearances at all four parks and Disney Springs. Due to social distancing, these sorts of things aren’t announced for specific times because they don’t want crowds gathering.
At Animal Kingdom, there will be festive flotillas. Look for holiday promenades at Epcot. View merry motorcades at Hollywood Studios. And at Magic Kingdom, see Christmas friends on festive floats. The popular Toy Soldiers will be joining the Main Street Philharmonic marching through the park. Cinderella’s Castle will have holiday projection overlays.

If you’re looking for fun holiday dining, Minnie Mouse will be hosting a yuletide gathering at Hollywood & Vine. Joining her will be Santa Goofy and her friends in their holiday best. This has typically been a buffet where you can get close to the characters, so don’t expect that this year. But the characters are dressed differently at these events than you would normally see and the food has always been good!

It doesn’t look like the Christmas Tree Trail we’ve all come to know is going to be there this year. Instead the trees will be spread out throughout Disney Springs, in the Town Center, West Side, and The Landing. The snow will be there!
Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar will once again transform into Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar. They will offer a limited time menu with holiday favorites.

If you’re going to be staying at a Disney Resort, they will have holiday decor and trees. The famous gingerbread houses will not be displayed. That’s a bummer because I love to go resort hopping to look at all of them.

Epcot will have the holiday food booths beginning November 27. You will also be able to hear JOYFUL! in the World Showplace and the Voices of Liberty at the American Gardens Theatre stage.
I’m sure there will be lots of wonderful treats and merchandise in the parks. I can’t wait to hear what else is on the way!
