D23 has just announced some Halloween exclusives and they are pretty exciting!

You can enter the first ever D23 Mousequerade virtual costume contest beginning September 17 until October 1. It will be judged by celebrity judges Ashley Eckstein and Yvette Nicole Brown. I noticed that there were more spaces with unnamed judges on the site, so we’ll see. This is a great opportunity for D23 cosplayers to really show off what they can do and I can’t wait to see the entries. You can dress up from any of the family of Disney brands. To participate, you’ll need to be a D23 General, Gold, or Gold Family member. You can find the official rules here. You’ll be able to see the celebrity judges choosing the winners live on D23.com, D23’s Facebook, and on D23’s You Tube.

The contest will be judged on the following with equal weight:

• Costume quality
• Costume craftmanship
• Originality
• Innovative use of materials
• Relevance to the theme

The prizes are pretty awesome!

• One Grand Prize Winner will receive a Disney Gift Card for $500
• One First Runner Up Winner will receive a Disney Gift Card for $250
• One Second Runner Up Winner will receive a Disney Gift Card for $100

D23 Gold and Gold Family members will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive limited edition Halloween pins. The pins are designed by Kevin Kidney and are available individually. They are each limited to 1,750 and will be available on shopDisney.com on September 28. They are $18.99 each plus tax and are limited to a purchase of one of each pin.

There will be a D23 Halloween Hullabaloo Sweepstakes. You’ll be able to enter weekly. They haven’t posted anything about this yet, so I’m excited to see what we can try to win.

There will be a D23 Book Launch Party for Holiday Magic at the Disney Parks. D23 Gold and Gold Family members are invited. They’ll be looking at the half of the book that pulls back the curtain on Halloween and Disney parks around the world. I love books and I love Halloween, so I can’t wait for details on this!

Make sure you have Disney+ by October. D23 Halloween Hullabaloo Disney+ Picks will be there the first four weeks of October. It’s a new short-form video series featuring friends from all around Disney sharing their favorite movies found on Disney+ and includes behind the scenes tidbits. Those are what I’m looking forward to.
