Actor Rick Moranis was attacked by a stranger while walking on a sidewalk near New York City’s Central Park around 7:24 am on October 1. He was just a few blocks from where his Ghostbusters character lived in the movie.

Moranis took himself to the hospital complaining of head, neck, back, and hip pain. He then when to the police department to report the unprovoked attack perpetrated by a stranger in an “I (heart) NY” sweatshirt.

Several years ago there were many attacks like this one going on where people would just walk up to strangers and punch them in the face. Most of them so they could be video taped. I hope this doesn’t trend again. No one deserves to be attacked like this. I hope they find this guy.
