Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan is scheduled to open on February 4, 2021. They’re giving us a sneak peek into the land and it looks amazing!

You’ll be able to get a Power-Up Band that will allow you to play in the land and earn coins in the app. I’m partial to the Yoshi band.

You can eat in Kinopio’s Cafe. Toad is known as Kinopio in Japan. If we don’t get the exact same awesome food in Orlando that they will have in Japan, I’ll be extremely disappointed.

How cute is the popcorn bucket?! There will be Caramel Peach and Mushroom flavored popcorn. Strange and intriguing, and I would definitely try both. Again, if we don’t get these I will shed tears.

While they don’t show us the ride in action, we do get to see the ride vehicles for Mario Kart. Just seeing this makes my heart flutter with excitement!

It’s Bowser’s castle! Check out the video below to see what’s inside.

Take a walk through the land with Mario’s dad, Shigeru Miyamoto, in the video below! There’s so much to see and do in the land. I’m so sad it’s been delayed in Orlando because the Epic Universe park was put on hold.

I was working in Diagon Alley when it first opened to muggles. The folks from Japan came in to tour the land and see the amazing detail of it all. We found out just after that tour that Super Mario Land was in the works. There were more than a few of us who said we’d leave the Wizarding World for Nintendo! A friend and fellow witch, Valerie, ended up going to work for Universal Creative and was on the team that worked on all the sounds and things you’ll see on the screens in the land. I couldn’t be more proud of her!
The excitement for this land is through the roof! I can’t wait until we can have previews of what is to come to Universal’s Epic Universe park in Orlando!
What do you think about Japan’s new Super Nintendo Land? What are you most excited for?
