SeaWorld Orlando’s Sesame Street Kids’ Weekend

I had the best time going to Sesame Street Kids’ Weekend at SeaWorld Orlando! Yes, I’m a full-grown adult and I went alone. I knew there were going to be character meetings, so this was a must for me. Honestly, I hope to see Grover every time I go to SeaWorld. He’s been my favorite Sesame Street character ever since I can remember. That’s a long, long, long time.

The Kids’ Weekend was January 23-24. I really hope they do another one, maybe in the summer. They had character meet and greets, story time, and tables where kids could earn badges.

I was able to meet Grover in a police officer uniform, Elmo wearing a fireman uniform, Rosita, Count von Count, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster. I found out later in the day that there were camera issues from when I took photos with Cookie Monster, so I don’t have that one. He was on his cookie jar float and I’m really sad I don’t have them. I totally live for character photos!

Kids could go to the badge stations and learn about respect, helping, and bravery. They would earn a badge when they talked with the host or hostess and answered questions. It was all about learning to be everyday heroes.

Here is an explanation of what they are doing by one of the hosts.

They had a special purchase offer on the medium plush of buy two get one free! I saw lots of kids, and adults, with their Sesame Street plush in the land.

Story time with Rosita was really cute. The hostess read a book to everyone. They were on the Hooper’s Store float in the street.

Don’t feel like you have to go to Sesame Street Land with kids. I go all the time and it’s always great fun! The special events they have there are excellent. If you do have kids to bring, they are in for a real treat.

Were you able to attend Sesame Street Land’s Kids’ Weekend? Who was your favorite character to meet?
