All the Characters I Met At Universal Studios In One Day

Have you ever wondered who you can meet at Universal Studios? I spent the day at the park and decided to see how many characters I could meet. I didn’t go over to Islands of Adventure, and I wasn’t even in the park at night. I also know that I didn’t meet everyone who was out. I just made a lap or two around the park and this is everyone I saw.

I’m an adult who usually goes to the theme parks alone, but my favorite thing to do is meet the characters. It gets me all giddy and totally improves my park experience.

I met Boots, Diego, and Dora of Dora the Explorer. My daughter was ALL about this show when she was little.

Having grown up in Hawaii where there is a large Japanese culture and influence, I’ve known Hello Kitty for quite a long time. It’s like meeting an old friend every time I see her. I do wish they’d have My Melody come out for meet and greets, though. She’s my favorite!

When the Secret Life of Pets floats roll out, you can meet Max and have a bit of a conversation with him.

You can meet a Minion or two from Despicable Me inside of Super Silly Stuff. You’ll see them after exiting the ride or if you just go through the back of the gift shop. It’s a dance party back there!

You can meet even more Despicable Me characters. Gru, Agnes, and Edith were together. I’ve also seen Margo there on other days. Vector is being his own bad self!

Did someone say dance party? You can meet Guy Diamond of Trolls. Sometimes he has Baby Diamond strapped to his front. You can also meet Poppy here. I haven’t seen Branch in a bit, but the three of them used to be together in Kid Zone pre-pandemic.

Get out of my swamp! Shrek stars Fiona, Donkey, and of course, Shrek, meet together. I asked Donkey if he could make me some waffles, but he said he couldn’t due to health regulations. Bummer.

You can meet characters from The Simpsons in different areas of the park. While I only met Marge and Sideshow Bob this time, you can also meet Krusty the Clown, Bart, Lisa, and Homer.

Scooby has just arrived, then left before hanging out for pictures. But Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy were there.

Let’s roll out! There are three different Transformers you can meet at different times. I met Optimus, but you can also meet Bumble Bee and Megatron.

Are you ready kids?! Meet SpongeBob Squarepants, Patrick Star, and Squidward Tentacles. They’re always loads of fun, especially the ever salty Squidward.

I got to see and take photos with 24 different characters in one day! In just one of the Universal Orlando parks. And I didn’t even see all of the ones that I know are out and about regularly. Universal has kept their meet and greets up during this whole pandemic mess and I for one really appreciate it. I think it’s safe to say that they have the most interactions of this type for the Orlando parks.

So if you’re totally into getting cool character photos for your family albums or Instagram, go spend a day at Universal Studios. And look for me because I’ll be doing the same thing.
