First Inside Look at VelociCoaster!

Catch a first look at Universal Orlando Resort’s VelociCoaster! Thanks to UOTM friends, I have gained photos from inside VelociCoaster during their Team Member preview. The passholder preview will follow. And I’m still super salty about being screwed out of a reservation by website issues. (Especially for being a UOTM veteran.) But wholly thrilled to be finally seeing it from the inside!

Here’s what they’re saying after riding:

  • “Amazing, It’s smooth, intense, the inversion had me flipping out.”
  • “It was intense, there were soo many moments where you are lifted out of your seat. Very well themed, if your a fan of the movies you will definitely not be disappointed.”
  • “That lap bar was secure, and has 2 handle bars.”
  • “The queue like is actually shorter than I though it would .”
  • “The moment you are upside down feels like forever lol.”
  • “That top hat was breathtaking.”
  • “Holy smokes! That’s amazing!”
  • “The theming is amazing, you feel like you’re right there with the raptors in the paddock! And those launches are so fast!”
  • “Loved it. Back seat the best! At one point I felt weightless.”
  • “Fantastic ride. Imagine the first :45 seconds of hulk spread out for 3 minutes of this ride!”
  • “it feel MUCH faster than hagrids”
  • “There’s so much happening that it’s impossible to take in all of it. There’s no time to breath, it’s just all go go go. It’s really hard to describe other than it was friggin awesome”

I’ve been told that the entire queue is indoors.

The lockers are inside a little bit before you load. They are double sided. You’ll put your belongings in on one side, then pick them up on the other side when you exit. Pretty fancy and functional. No more people crowding to get both in and out of the lockers.

You will go through a metal detector after placing your items in a locker. You’ll then ascend a staircase to the load platform.

For those of you who can’t do stairs, like myself, there is an elevator located there. I’m happy about this because I hate moving past an awesome queue with tons of cool stuff to see. I will be getting the same experience as others, just without the stairs.

I visited the Jurassic Park Discovery Center today (4/30/21) to check out the new merchandise shop. It’s basically a pop-up shop. This is where you will head once you’ve exited the ride. There’s also a bit of coaster at the end!

What do you think of these first-look photos? Are you as excited as I am?
