Disney’s Contemporary Resort is getting a makeover for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary, and it’s incredible! Reimagined rooms will feature the characters from The Incredibles. All nine floors in the tower are being refurbished.
There will be new artwork in guest rooms and along the corridors. It will be a blend of the sleek monorail and Pixar’s The Incredibles. The Contemporary is one of the original Disney Resorts and is one of three on the monorail line to Magic Kingdom. The monorail runs right through the middle of the resort. In the lobby, you’ll soon see a collection of modern art pieces as well as historical, behind-the-scenes photographs of Disney’s Contemporary Resort in development and under construction. Once the rooms in the tower are complete, work will begin on the rooms inside the Garden Wing out on the shore of Bay Lake.
The Wave will be closing soon for refurbishment. It’s long been rumored that it will become an Incredibles character dining location. This is my absolute favorite restaurant to get breakfast on all of Disney property. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. I hope they leave that as-is and go for only character dining at dinner.

What do you think of these updates? I like the look of the rooms, but still want them to leave my breakfast buffet alone!
