WDW 50th Anniversary Merchandise Preview – First Look!

Today Disney announced some of the merchandise for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary. It’s pretty magical!

There will be three collections of merchandise when the celebration begins on October 1. Two more collections will debut later in the fall. I expect to see the resellers out in full force snatching up everything they can get their hands on.

Pre-Celebration Must-Haves

The exciting part is that there is a limited time pre-celebration collection, including Passholder merchandise. I can already tell that Disney is about to clean out my bank account. This merchandise will start appearing August 12.

Celebration Collection

Dooney and Bourke accessories, headwear, mommy and me ensembles, and the Mickey head soap dispenser are what we have to look forward to here. I’m already in love with the dresses!

Disney Castle Collection

This collection will include collectible ornaments, a castle themed mug, and light up Minnie ears, among other things.

Vault Collection

These retro-themed designs are inspired by items from the Walt Disney Archives. It includes an assortment of opening-day favorites. Throwback t-shirt styles, vintage inspired plush toys, and a a 2021 rendition of the original Mickey Mouse ear hat. See that Mickey Mouse shirt the model is wearing with the yellow shorts? I had that when I was a little kid. I will have it again!

EARidescent Collection

A new color collection will debut in late October. It’s themed to match the EARidescent celebration and features everything from a Loungefly mini-backpack, a Spirit Jersey, and a set of sparkling Minnie ears.

Coming in November will be the Luxe Lugo Collection, deescribed as a range of upscale Disney products.

Be on the lookout for new celebration merchandise displays across the resort. This is the rendering of the World of Disney display in Disney Springs.
