My Review of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT

I attended a Disney Passholder preview of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure on September 10 with a few friends. They had the wait time at 35 minutes, but I don’t believe it was that long either time we rode it.

The expansion of the France pavilion to go along with the new attraction is lovely. It feels like you’re in a little slice of France.

There are quite a few fun details. Look into the windows to see sweet treats and Anton Ego wine.

You can take some cool photos on Alfredo Linguini’s scooter and Colette Tatou’s motorcycle.

The fountain is full of adorable rat details. There were already coins tossed into it.

Enjoy crêpes at the sit down restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, or at a walk-up window, Crêpes À Emporter at La Crêperie de Paris. View the full menu here.

There is a merchandise cart that has some things that haven’t been available in France yet. The chef hat is very interesting. It has a Remy shadow inside it pulling Linguini’s hair. He can also pop up out of the top.

You’re on a rooftop in part of the queue. Listen closely because you can hear singing and dogs barking. This is where Chef Auguste Gusteau comes to life on the sign and speaks. I’m pretty sure it was English the first time I went through, then French the second time. You’ll make your way through buildings past an art studio. Some of the queue is pretty blah. There’s a part where it’s just wallpaper, and another with plain walls. I was hoping to see some rats placed in hiding spots, but I didn’t notice any. And I was looking pretty hard.

You’ll either be in a Remy or Emile ride vehicle that seats six. Notice there are dividers on the bench seat. I think it would have been better to not have them. Some of the larger riders found them to be uncomfortable.

This is a trackless ride and you basically glide along with a rat’s eye view. At one point you’re in a kitchen and I could have sworn it tried to smell like food. For a few moments I thought it smelled like saltine crackers, but I could have been mistaken.

This attraction is 3D and you’ll be wearing glasses. In my opinion, it would have been better without the 3D effects and having to wear glasses. There are practical effects in the ride that I enjoyed much more when I lifted my glasses.

Overall, it’s a cute ride. It’s something I’d wait 20 minutes or less for, but no more than that. Epcot definitely needed another ride, and could use more. Germany, I’m looking at you.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will officially open on October 1, 2021.
