A few little birds spilled some beans to me. Nothing has been confirmed, but these things were shared by reliable sources. Only time will tell if they come to fruition.
The most exciting secret I have come to find out is about the next tribute store. Currently it’s a Mardi Gras theme. This information came from multiple sources and I’d say this is going to be a sure deal. E. T. the Extra Terrestrial will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The next tribute store will be all about it. New merchandise for this milestone will be in the store. The E. T. prop that has been displayed in the Legacy Store in City Walk has already been removed. As a massive fan of the film, I’m literally freaking out about this! I’ve never been more excited for a tribute store, and that includes HHN.

Loungefly bags and wallets are wildly popular and I’ve heard that there will be a ton more coming to the parks. What IPs or franchises they’ll be from wasn’t shared. I recently received the new E. T. mini backpack as a gift and I’m hoping that will be included. This is a good move for the parks!

A source told me that the moving walkway Minion attraction rumors are true. This is what is going to be in the Shrek building. It kind of sounds like a quick, and possibly temporary, attraction.

Rumor has it that future Halloween Horror Nights will have 12-14 houses. Sound stages closer to Islands of Adventure will be used. Most likely not this year, but in the not too distant future. This is something that I really hope is true because the more houses there are, the better. In addition to that potentially awesome HHN news, I believe I may know two of the houses for this year. The Last of Us and The Weeknd. Don’t ask me what The Weeknd would be about, but I think it would be interesting.

I also heard that we can expect construction walls to go up around Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure when Epic Universe opens. There are several areas in each park that will either refurb, or be changed entirely. Toon Lagoon and Lost Continent have long been rumored to be on the chopping block. With everyone’s excitement with the new park, I’m sure they’re banking on folks not caring too much about the other parks being walled off.
Speaking of chopping blocks, Universal knows they screwed up big time with Fast and the Furious – Supercharged. Which is neither fast, nor furious. And it’s sure as hell not supercharged. Though it’s a newer attraction, it’s rumored to be short-lived. I can whole-heartedly agree with flushing it down the toilet.

Revenge of the Mummy is under a lengthy refurbishment. I’ve heard it’s going to be missing a little something when it returns. You know that bit about coffee from Brendon Fraser at the end? The bit we all like to join him in saying? That’s not going to be a thing anymore. I expect all hell to break loose, especially in the UOAP groups, if this is true.

That’s the good, the bad, and the ugly of what I learned. I’ll fill you in on anything else I may here and we’ll find out together what becomes fact.
