I was able to spend a bunch of time in the new iteration of the tribute store at Universal Studios Orlando – The Summer Tribute Store. If you love movies, you’re going to totally dig this store. It’s one of the best they’ve done.
There are so many things to see. You will want to take your time looking at everything. Be sure to look both up and down. Things are on the floors in each room! I know I didn’t see it all. I’ll definitely be going back a few times to see what I missed.
The facade is a movie marquee showing some of our all-time favorites. E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, Back to the Future, and JAWS. The store consists of four theaters, each containing a different theme.

Theater 1 houses E.T. the Extra Terrestrial and looks like Elliott’s bedroom. Being a massive fan of this movie, I was absolutely giddy in here. Universal has done an excellent job of making your feel like you are in the movie. Believe me when I say that I found more than a few things I need for my “E.T. shrine,” as my kids call it.
I found a cool article about Elliott’s room on the interwebs. It talks about the different toys and props in the movie. You’ll notice some of the same things in Theater 1.

Theater 2 is dedicated to JAWS. Imagine yourself in a building by the water in Amity. You can almost smell the sea air and dead fish. Damn it, does this theater make me miss the ride and entire area of the park. I have failed you here as I didn’t take enough photos of the amazing props. I will remedy that and add them as soon as I do.
One of my favorite souvenir things is the wax figure machine. You’ll find a blue JAWS, or more affectionately Bruce, head in this theater.

Theater 3 goes back in time with Back to the Future. You’ll find nods to all three films. If you’re looking carefully, you’ll also find the original Marty McFly, Eric Stoltz. The coolest thing I spotted was the E.T. Atari 2600 video game. Before you groan, my siblings and I loved playing the game. There’s a souvenir wax machine in here that offers the infamous clock tower. Be sure to check out the jukebox.

I found this barcode with a QR code in it in a couple of places in the Summer Tribute Store. Once being on Doc’s desk. When you scan it, it opens up to a closed attraction page for the Back to the Future the Ride. Want to know what CusCo is?

Theater 4 is a tribute to retro Universal movies. Normally you’d find the concession stand at the entrance to a movie theater, but here it’s at the end. The case line is full of amazing sweets and treats. There’s a super fun King Kong photo opp near the cash wrap. I’d love to see your shots posted to Theme Park MoJu Groupies!

The JAWS Fishbowl Cake was sold out in the Summer Tribute Store when I was there, but I did find it in the San Francisco Candy Factory. Unless you have a mighty sweet tooth, this is too much for one person. It was quite tasty and I love that I am now the proud owner of a JAWS fishbowl.

Like I said, I spent quite a bit of time in the store. First I went through and took video, then I went back for photos. I tried to get as much detail as possible in the video. It doesn’t have me blabbering on, it’s just a walk-through. I hope you enjoy it.
