Can you even believe that Star Wars is 45 years old? The movie premiered in the United States on May 25, 1977. I was five years old so I don’t remember all the hype, but I do remember loving it. My auntie Janelle bought my sister and I several of the Kenner action figures. I remember making worlds out of styrofoam and cardboard packaging to play with them. Those were the days.
In April 1981, Star Wars was re-released with a new name, Star Wars: A New Hope also known as Episode IV. But that’s a whole discussion that I’m leaving alone.
Disney has just released three pins to commemorate the anniversary. They are $17.99 each and can be found on shopDisney. I’m not sure if they’re in the parks because I haven’t been out to look at pins in a while.

The first pin is the Millennium Falcon and has Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The second is Darth Vader in a TIE fighter. The third is Luke Skywalker with the classic Star Wars logo. You’ll notice that Luke is also on the other two pins with the logo and “45.”
I don’t earn anything from the links in my articles. I put them in for your convenience. If that ever changes, I’ll let you know. May the force be with you.
