Universal Orlando Resort Update 09/30/2022

I’ve been in contact with several Universal Orlando Resort Team Members. I can confirm that parkside TMs have been getting called back. As you recall, UOR announced a phased reopening with City Walk and Volcano Bay TMs being called back for today. Those areas of UOR were for hotel guests only. I have heard that the parks will be open today (09/30). I’m quite sure that means for all guests.

I’ve also been told that Halloween Horror Nights TMs have been called back. I’m not sure of the state of the event if in fact it does return tonight. I hear there was a flooding in the Bugs: Eaten Alive and Descendants of Destruction houses. I also saw flood waters on the outside of the Universal Monsters: Legends Collide house. You can see those photos here. If HHN is open tonight, I have no word yet on if everything will be open.

Remember, this is speculation as there has been no official announcement from Universal yet.

**Update 09/30 @11:37 AM** A scareactor friend has informed me that their stage manager said it would be a hotel guest only HHN. I’ve also seen since last night that some people in the Facebook groups spoke to guest services and were told HHN would open tonight for all guests. I know that if it’s hotel guests only, there will be an uproar. I will update again when I hear more.

**UPDATE 09/30 @ 12:50 PM** I’ve been told that a manager told TMs that they will be open for HHN tonight. They still aren’t sure about the reopening time, or which guests will be admitted. They have been seen readying the park.

**UPDATE 09/30 1:24 PM** I have heard from a scareactor that HHN will open tonight to all guests with an HHN ticket at 5 PM. Normal operations for parks and HHN will resume tomorrow 10/01.

**UPDATE 09/30 1:47 PM** I’m hearing from TMs who are working today/tonight that the parks are definitely not opening today. Except of course that Universal Studios will open at 5 PM for HHN.

I’ll continue to post about updates as I find out. Keep checking back on Theme Park MoJu and TPMJ on Facebook for more.
