Texas is getting a new Universal park and resort hotel!
Universal Parks & Resorts has purchased 97 acres on the east side of the Dallas North Tollway near Panther Creek Parkway for the construction of the park and hotel. The park is scaled to about a quarter of the Orlando parks to be more appropriate for the ages of smaller guests.
“The proposed park will be designed to be more intimate and engaging for younger audiences and will be sized for a regional audience,” Universal stated in a press release. “It will be full of family-friendly attractions, interactive and playful shows, character meet and greets, unique merchandise and fun food and beverage venues. Although smaller in size, it will still carry the same quality as Universal’s other larger resort destinations.”
Universal has not announced when the park will be opening. It looks really exciting and I’m sure it will draw tons of visitors.
