Things are changing at Islands of Adventure. There will be an enhancement to a show and a closure of a show.

According to a Universal Orlando email, The Nightime Lights at Hogwarts Castle in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade will “undergo an extended closure to make way for future show enhancements.” This takes effect on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

This one makes me a little sad. Poseidon’s Fury will “close as we prepare for exciting new entertainment for our Guests. The last day of shows will take place on Tuesday, May 9.” This show was hokey, but it had the amazing experience of walking through a rushing water tunnel.

If you want to experience these shows before they close, you have just about a month to catch them. I really, really hope that Poseidon’s Fury is replaced with something great. The Sinbad theater has sat empty since its closing, so hopefully they are working on something for that as well. Maybe they will turn into one huge new attraction.
