It’s a terrible sight to see, a fire on Tom Sawyer Island. The fire occurred during the live performance of Fantasmic! Saturday night.

Guests reported seeing the Maleficent dragon’s head light up, then the fire quickly spreading.

KABC7 reports, “One witness told ABC7 that after the fire started, cast members evacuated the area around Frontierland, but the rest of the park remained open.”

The extent of the fire has not yet been reported. I’m very glad no one was injured and that the Cast Members were able to move everyone safely away.
