New details on the Disney Destiny are out today. If you love Marvel, this is going to be your favorite ship! Disney Cruise Line’s new ship will set sail in November 2025.

“The Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams were inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose. Onboard, guests will encounter heroes and villains alike – including those from beloved Walt Disney Animation stories like “The Lion King,” “Hercules” and “One Hundred and One Dalmatians” – within spaces, experiences and entertainment throughout their voyage.”

The new Heroes and Villains themed cruise ship will debut brand-new spaces and experiences celebrating Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and the Earth’s mightiest heroes.

“The striking Grand Hall will be inspired by the rich lore, distinctive iconography and vibrant palette of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” films. This space will be the first thing you see as you step aboard the Disney Destiny, welcoming you to a world of epic dualities: heroes and villains, and adventure and relaxation. The Walt Disney Imagineering design team consulted with the costume team from the “Black Panther” movies, and those insights helped fashion the creative vision for this space, including metalwork on the pilars inspired by the banded armor and stacked jewelry found in Wakanda. A breathtaking light fixture inspired by Vibranium — the rare metallic ore found in the fictional nation — will generate show-stopping effects that fill the room with life and color. Presiding over the Grand Hall will be a stunning statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther: King of Wakanda, devoted son and beloved brother sworn to protect his kingdom — and the Disney Destiny.”

“The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange.” Like all Sanctums, this centrally located venue will contain mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world – but it will also be home to entertainment; a magical array or cocktails, spirits and coffees; and unique surprises from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, including a circular mirror behind the bar that evokes the building’s iconic window.”

“For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will be the signature stern character on the Disney Destiny. This signature larger-than-life sculpture will showcase Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots, who are making a well-meant, if a bit haphazard, attempt at decorating the filigree on the back of the ship with their infamous spider webs.”

“Minnie Mouse embodies the spirit of the Disney Destiny in this brand-new filigree artwork for the bow of the ship, continuing a beloved Disney Cruise Line design tradition. Donning a heroic new ensemble – cape and all! – and a valiant pose, she will boldly lead guests on epic cruise vacations.”

“The Destiny Tower Suite will be a Marvel-inspired penthouse honoring  Iron Man’s mighty legacy with a luxurious take on the sleek, industrial designs of Tony Stark. Armor-like materials and mechanical elements will be balanced by soft, inviting finishes to create an opulent experience exclusive to the Disney Destiny.

“Aboard the Disney Destiny, you will encounter a fearsome crew of formidable foes throughout the ship — including Maleficent, Dr. Facilier, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, and Oogie Boogie — and some of Disney’s most mischievous and misunderstood personalities – like Captain Jack Sparrow, Bruno and Loki. You’ll have the chance to interact with these villains, rogues and mischief-makers during all-new events and activities, as well as some of your favorite Disney Cruise Line programs, from a frighteningly fun dance party in Oogie Boogie’s shipboard lair to interactive Disney trivia that often gets interrupted by a cast of Disney villains.”

Set high in the ship’s forward funnel, this one-of-a-kind suite will offer incredible views of the top deck and beyond through an expansive two-story window. With nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, the Destiny Tower Suite will comfortably sleep eight guests and feature designated areas for eating, sleeping and playing, as well as other perks like a full kitchen and private ensuite elevator.”

“Just off the Grand Hall on decks four and five, you will be able to write your own vacation legend at Saga, a central hub for daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. The two-story, state-of-the-art venue will host a variety of interactive shows and events in an elevated environment that also takes cues from the architecture of Wakanda.”

“Like every Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Destiny will offer spacious, comfortable and functional staterooms that uniquely meet the needs of your family. Most staterooms will feature Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept, allowing more than one person to get ready at a time, and many rooms will offer the option of a connecting door to accommodate larger families.  Keeping with the ship’s unique theme, every stateroom and suite will showcase custom artwork depicting the epic journeys of famous Disney legends.”

“Concierge guests aboard the Disney Destiny will receive a premium level of dedicated service and access to exclusive areas and amenities throughout their voyage, including a concierge lounge and private sun deck.  Large, lavishly appointed concierge staterooms and suites will draw you into the mysterious and fantastic world of Disney Animation’s “Fantasia” through elegant, watercolor-style artwork illustrating the rich color palette and otherworldly spectacle of the classic film.”

“Seven special oceanview rooms located directly above the bridge and adorned in the distinctive iconography of Pixar’s “The Incredibles” will provide awe-inspiring, floor-to-ceiling views.  In four royal suites of heroic proportions (and views!), you will be empowered to embrace your own destiny. The Hero Suites will celebrate the majestic powers and noble heroism at the heart of Disney Animation’s “Hercules” with Greco-Roman-inspired design elements, colors and patterns, and the boldly themed IncrediSuites will invoke the exhilarating exploits of “The Incredibles” through a streamlined mid-century modern aesthetic inspired by the Pixar films.”

The Disney Destiny will continue Disney Cruise Line’s innovative family dining concept, where you will experience one of three imaginative restaurants each night accompanied by a dedicated service team that will accompany your family throughout the voyage. In addition to the brand-new Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, you’ll get to experience two guest-favorite restaurants from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure.

Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King – A colorful ensemble of live musicians and storytellers will take the stage to present a musical journey through the award-winning soundtrack as you dine. During special intervals throughout the meal, the band and performers will revisit the iconic songs from “The Lion King” using authentic African instruments and theatrical props to represent the story and characters. Audiences will delight in: 

• Productions of “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata;” 

• A mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared,” a fun take that highlights the hero-villain dynamic of the story;

• An instrumental version of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” paired with a beautiful interpretive dance; and

• A moving rendition of “He Lives in You” from the sequel film and Broadway show. 

“Worlds of Marvel, Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel-themed dining experience, will host you for an out-of-this-world celebration starring the lively duo of Rocket and Groot from the blockbuster Marvel Studios “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. During a tribute to the many Super Heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who keep the world safe, Groot will take over the proceedings and bring the festivities to the next level like only he can, organizing the ultimate surprise party for his friend Rocket — just in time for your dessert!”

1923, named for the founding year of The Walt Disney Company, will celebrate the legacy of Disney animation in an elegant setting imbued with classic Hollywood glamour. With more than 1,000 drawings, props and other tools of the animation trade on display, the artwork of 1923 on the Disney Destiny will showcase tales of heroes and villains in “Hercules,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Big Hero 6,” “Wreck-It Ralph.” and more.

“Edna Mode’s lab, where the famed fashion designer from Pixar’s “The Incredibles” films whips up outfits for the world’s most famous Supers, will be transformed into a unique confectionary at the brand-new Edna Á La Mode Sweets aboard the Disney Destiny. Inspired by the “Auntie Edna” short film, Edna’s sewing equipment will be repurposed as sweet-making devices – and the result is, shall we say… marvelous?! This dessert spot is sure to be a hit with your family, with handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies and specialty treats served in a space full of bolts of fabric and costume models. And while she never looks back, you might have to do a double-take of the picture-perfect sculptures of both Edna and Jack-Jack — one hard at work, one hungry for “num nums!”

“Just off the Grand Hall — the central hub and gathering space on the Disney Destiny — two casual walk-up cafes will serve a mighty selection of coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks. You can fuel up for your heroic ventures onboard at Café Megara, a space that will pay homage to Disney Animation’s “Hercules” with a unique and vibrant “Greco disco” design, or at Café Merida, an area that will be inspired by the flame-haired heroine of Pixar’s “Brave” with its Celtic-centered design.”

“Aboard the Disney Destiny, your children will become the heroes of their own epic Disney adventures. Dedicated spaces for kids of all ages will offer imaginative programming facilitated with the care and expertise of Disney-trained counselors and special playtime with Disney friends.”

“In Disney’s Oceaneer Club, kids ages 3 to 10 will become the heroes of their own epic Disney adventures at Marvel Super Hero Academy, a high-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” are trained to be the next generation of Super Heroes alongside some of their favorite Avengers.”

It’s a Small World Nursery will offer babysitting services for little cruisers aged 6 months to 3 years in a whimsical environment inspired by the beloved Disney attraction.

At Edge, tweens ages 11 to 13 will have fun, make friends and play games in a bright, colorful hangout inspired by a New York City loft.

For guests ages 14 to 17, Vibe will be a trendy loft where teens can meet new friends, watch movies, play games and participate in group activities created just for them.

Adult-Exclusive Escapes

A suite of premium dining venues will include Palo Steakhouse, combining authentic Italian dining with the refinement of a modern steakhouse; Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, offering gourmet, French-inspired cuisine in a romantic and intimate setting; and The Rose, an idyllic setting for a pre-dinner aperitif or after-dinner cocktail.

Senses Spa will provide a tranquil oasis offering indulgent spa and beauty treatments in private treatment rooms, lavish spa villas, and steam and aromatherapy rooms, while Senses Fitness will offer a state-of-the-art exercise and wellness facility.

Untangled Salon will be a chic venue for high-end hairstyling and beauty services, and Hook’s Barbery will be a unique twist on a traditional men’s salon with a “hidden” bar.

Adults will indulge in sun-drenched serenity at Quiet Cove, a peaceful refuge set away from the bustle of family activities that will feature a luxurious infinity pool, poolside bar and chic café.

“At Cask and Cannon, you will join the ranks of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” for an evening of revelry, recreation and — of course — rum! Inspired by the beloved Disney Parks attractions around the world, this new pub will be an eclectic, yet cozy watering hole furnished with treasures “acquired” (read: pillaged and pilfered) during the pirates’ many voyages around the globe.  Here, you and your fellow buccaneers will regale one another with tales of your high seas’ adventures; cheer and jeer during live televised sporting events; and indulge in an extensive menu of rare, specialty and vintage rums and a selection of “bootlegged” brews developed specially for the venue and served – in true pirate style – straight from the barrel.”

Foolish mortals will be welcomed to sip spirited craft cocktails among the 999 happy haunts of Disney Parks lore at the Haunted Mansion Parlor, a highly anticipated lounge that will first debut aboard the Disney Destiny. At the Haunted Mansion Parlor, grim grinning guests will sample a selection of ghostly cocktails that capture the spirit of the story, while legendary characters from Haunted Mansion attractions around the world come out to socialize in mysterious ways (along with a few new seafaring arrivals).

“The Haunted Mansion Parlor’s eerie portrait gallery will depict some of the wandering souls that have taken up residence onboard the Disney Treasure. The collection of works will be reminiscent of the quintessential paintings inside the Haunted Mansion attraction, mimicking the art stylings used by Disney Imagineers in 1969. The portrait gallery will also incorporate present-day technologies to allow the ghostly residents to entertain guests in new ways.”

“The portraits inside Haunted Mansion Parlor will also lend inspiration to a Disney Cruise Line-exclusive commemorative mug collection that will debut onboard the Disney Treasure. The ceramic mugs will appear to be carved from the worn wooden planks of a ghost ship. These early sketches and models illustrate the first in a series coming to the Disney Treasure – one inspired by The Mariner and other by The Captain’s bride.”

“You are destined to ride, fly, chase the wind and touch the sky on the stunning upper decks of the Disney Destiny, where three distinctly themed districts will offer fun water features, quick and casual dining options, and plenty of space to relax and soak up the sun.”

“In an expansive district themed to Mickey and friends, you and your family will discover seven pools staggered among tiered decks, an abundance of luxe lounge chairs, an imaginative take on fast-casual fare with a festive character twist and the AquaMouse.”

‘The AquaMouse, Disney Cruise Line’s signature attraction at sea, will return to the Disney Destiny with a brand-new storyline, “Sing a Silly Song,” filled with encounters with famed Disney villains. Before your family completes the 760-foot-long water ride towering above the upper decks, you will join Mickey and Minnie Mouse on a seemingly ominous trek to the peak of Villain Mountain.”

“Little cruisers will delight in a water wonderland themed to Pixar’s “Toy Story,” including a splash zone, wading pool, family waterslide, and smoothie bar.”
