The Muppets Are Moving in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

I just read that the Muppets are moving to a new area Hollywood Studios. With the changes Disney has been making in the parks, I can’t say I’m surprised with this move.

Muppet Vision 3D will be permanently closed to make way for the new Monsters, Inc Land that was announced this past summer.

Where are they going? They will take over the Aerosmith-themed Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster. The Muppets will be teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!  This is something I can get on board with!

“We know so many of you share our love for The Muppets and know their energy will be a perfect fit for this coaster. Plus, as the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets, there’s sure to be laughter, screams, and new tunes for this attraction for fans to enjoy throughout the adventure and plenty of Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard!

In the meantime, there’s still enough time to catch a super-stretch limo to the Forum to enjoy Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and catch Muppet*Vision 3D again before their final curtain calls.

As we move forward with these changes, we are having creative conversations and exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future.”

I am very ready for new Muppets merchandise. Disney promised years ago that there would be a larger Muppets presence in the parks, which we haven’t seen much of yet. Even though it will be sad to lose another classic attraction, I am excited about this new change. The more Muppets the merrier!
