Tron: Ares will hit theaters on October 10, 2025 and Disney has released a thrilling trailer for this stand alone sequel to Tron: Legacy.

The film stars Jared Leto, Evan Peters, Greta Lee, and Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn.

Nine Inch Nails provides the score for the film. This is the first time Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed a film score under the name of their band, instead of their own names. Reznor explained that taking the Nine Inch Nails name influenced their approach to scoring, putting them in a “grittier” mindset and allowing them to “play by different rules”, something Disney was pleased with.

Tron: Ares follows a highly sophisticated program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.
