The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure is a reimagined show coming to Disney Hollywood Studios. It tells the story you know and love, but in a way you’ve never seen before. The show opens on May 27, 2025 in the theater in Animation Courtyard.

The show will feature stunning set pieces, imaginative costumes, cutting-edge effects, skillful puppetry, and a bold new design aesthetic that captures Ariel’s imagination and emotions through her unique view of the world around her.

Jodi Benson is the original voice of Ariel and she surprised the cast during a rehearsal.

They walk her through the puppets and process so we get a sneak peak at the amazing puppet characters.

Jodi gets to watch the show and has a heartwarming reaction at about the 7:50 mark.

The theater has sat closed for years and I’m excited to finally have it open. I’m sure the show is going to be wonderful!
